The pre-apprenticeship program will give you hands-on experience in all aspects of construction. During your time in the program you will:
Gain exposure to different trades like carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding and more
Learn essential job skills like tool use, material handling, measurement, and blueprint reading
Work on both residential and commercial construction projects
Earn industry-recognized certifications like NCCER, OSHA 10 and first aid/CPR
Receive guidance from experienced craftspeople and foremen
Upon completion, you will have the skills, experience, and recommendations needed to apply for Nehemiah's Economic Development Association registered apprenticeship or find an entry-level job in the field.

Krafty Academy Pre-Apprenticeship Requirements:
Ages 16-24
High school dropouts or graduate
Foster care teenager aging out of foster care
Having experienced short or long-term suspension from public or private school or involved in criminal or civil court
Live in low-income housing
